Spring is a time of seeds, flowers, and growth. Help your kiddo make a sunflower with this simple craft.
This is what you’ll need:
Step 1 – Paint the Flower
Step 2 – Glue on the seeds
*Tips for parents: Talk about where you want the seeds placed. In the center? Around the edges? Place the seeds on the glue one by one and count them as you go. How many seeds did you put on your sunflower?
Step 3 – Cut Petals (optional)
After the flower dries, if your child wants to cut petals around the edges, give your child scissors and cut in from the edge about 1” all around. This will give the flower some petals.
*Tips for parents: Go for a nature walk and see if you can find any sunflowers. Or better yet, get some seeds that you can plant and plant them together, then watch your sunflowers grow!
