balloonstamp A fun and easy way to print – makes fun and colorful wrapping paper and more.

Goals:

  • To encourage creativity and fine motor skills
  • To learn about and make patterns

Before You Start: Gather materials needed: BioColor® paint, balloons, construction paper, art trays and BioColor® Shimmer Powder.

Let's Get Started! Step 1. Blow up an ordinary balloon (not too big) – secure with a knot.

Step 2. Squeeze several different colors of BioColor® on an aluminum pie tin or art tray.

Step 3. Gently dip the rounded end of balloon in BioColor®.

Step 4. Press balloon on clean paper to create a pattern.

Step 5. Repeat for an all-over design.

Step 6. Optional: Using a dry brush, sprinkle your design with gold and silver BioColor® Shimmer Powder and blow off excess.

Step 7. If you are not comfortable using a balloon in the classroom, simply cover the balloon with a nylon stocking.

Furthermore: Use white butcher paper and create a group mural, bouncing the balloons to music. You can also add feathers and collage pieces to paint before it dries.
