Before You Start: Gather materials: an art tray, Liquid Watercolor™ paint, cornstarch, hair picks and spray bottles. Pre-fill spray bottles with paint.
Let's Get Started! Step 1. Fill an art tray with 2 boxes of white cornstarch. Smooth over with a hair pick.
Step 2. Using spray bottles filled with different colors of Colorations® Liquid Watercolor, create your own pictures with stencils or abstract designs.
Step 3. Then using the pick, ruffle up the cornstarch allowing the mixture to "erase" your design!
Furthermore: Make stencil designs on top of cornstarch and spray. Lift, reposition and spray again. Make cornstarch "goop" when you're done by adding water. Discover what colors reappear. Discuss ideas about why this happens. Talk about sculptures and modern art.
