coffeefilterart These make beautiful butterfly wings, flowers, hanging decorations and more!

Goals:

  • To experiment with color blending
  • To create a fun, quick and easy craft

Before You Start: Gather coffee filters (you can also use Liquid Watercolor™ Texas Snowflakes), Liquid Watercolor™, bingo bottles, white paper and scissors. Fill bingo bottles with watercolor paint.

Let's Get Started! Step 1. Fold a coffee filter in half (slightly overlap filter on first fold), in half again, in half again, and in half one more time. You should have a triangular shape.

Step 2. Make "cut-outs" on closed folded side.

Step 3. Using Bingo Bottles, saturate filter using 3-4 colors of Colorations® Liquid Watercolor.

Step 4. Open and place filter between 2 sheets of paper and rub to get 2 great prints! Drying time is just minutes.

Furthermore: Display your finished artwork on a wall or bulletin board. You can also transform the finished coffee filters into a creative hat or even a windsock!
