Flower Bouquet

flowerbouquet These flowers are perfect for springtime and all year 'round.

Goals:

  • To create beautiful bouquets of everlasting flowers
  • To encourage creativity and fine motor skills

Before You Start:

Gather materials needed for activity: Liquid Watercolor™ Texas Snowflakes, Liquid Watercolor™ paint, plastic droppers, pipe cleaners, craft wire or sturdy ribbon to hold bunch together and scissors.

Let's Get Started!

Step 1.

Have children cut several petal shapes from Texas Snowflake material, leaving a short stem at the base of each petal.

Step 2.

Use eyedroppers to color petals with Colorations® Liquid Watercolor.

Step 3.

When dry, gather petals at the base and wrap with craft wire to hold together. Position petals based on type of flower you want to make.

Step 4.

For roses, overlap petals, for Daisies, do not overlap.

Step 5.

Simpler flowers can be made using a small Texas Snowflake.

Step 6.

Add pipe cleaner for stem.

Furthermore:

Make this craft in the spring and compare to real flowers just starting to bloom. This is a great craft to make for gifts, such as for Mother's Day or other occasions.
